●Cafe Expresso. 575-377-6669. Located in Mountain View Mall next to the super market in Angel Fire. This small cafe/coffee shop serves freshly breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches, English muffin sandwiches, sticky buns, cinnamon buns, Danish, brownies, cookies, and other bakery items, panini sandwiches, and homemade soups. Lattes, espresso, cappuccino, and coffees are made from fresh roasted and ground coffee beans. Sun-Thurs 7 AM to 5 PM and Fri & Sat 7 AM to 6 PM
●Early Bird Cafe & Bakery in Angel Fire. 575-377-3992. Full breakfast, Mexican food, lunch specials, pastries. Open for breakfast & lunch. Call ahead because of seasonal closures. On Mountain View Blvd.
●Five Star Burgers in Taos. The best burgers you can imagine, and try the sweet potato fries, too! Right on Paseo del Pueblo Sur just a bit north of Walmart.  www.5starburgers.com
●Guadalajara Grill & Restaurant North in Taos. 757-737-0816. While there are many great restaurants in Taos, one of our guests' and personal favorites is this one. You must go to the one north of the plaza, near Penny Pinch Wash-o-mat. Great Mexican cooking, quick & reasonable with a wonderfully funky decor. Mostly frequented by locals. On Paseo del Pueblo North.
●Michael's Kitchen: Cafe & Bakery in Taos. 757-758-4178. Another one of our guests' favorites (and loved by locals, too). Serving breakfast all day. Also serving lunch and dinner. Take home some of their wonderful pastries. 3 blocks north of the Plaza. www.michaelskitchen.com.
●Pizza Stop in Angel Fire. 575-377-6340. Pizza, pastas, salad, garlic rolls, beer & wine. A cozy Italian Taverna & Ristorante. Open Wed-Sat in the Village Center; 52 North Angel Fire Road.
●The Roasted Clove in Angel Fire. 575-377-0636, fax 377-1957. Experience impeccable service and superb cuisine. Chef Tom Bowles serves filet mignon, elk, sashimi-grade tuna, and out-of-this-world pork tenderloin, and more, accompanied by an extensive wine list! Look for Chef Tom's special wine dinners, cooking classes, and catering. Dine in or take out. Please call for reservations (or make them on-line) because The Roasted Clove often fills up quickly.
